In order to accelerate the industrial development in Kedah, environmental conservation should not be neglect. Industrial sector is a main contributor in economic growth. In 2002, it was contribute about 21.7 % of GDP as compared 21.3% in 1990. It is expected in 2020 as much as 3,017 ha areas for industrial development are needed. As such, in order to balance the ‘development and environment’ the strategy is incorporated in Kedah Environmental Action Plan. This program is organized aim at to inculcate the awareness towards cleaner production among the industrial player.
